Meet Our Instructors

Tristin (Director/Owner)

As a child, Tristin learned to express herself through dance and always had a dream to create a studio where others could do the same. She has been dancing since the age of three and loves being able to teach and share her passion with others. In high school, Tristin danced on her studio's competition team and after graduating high school she found her love for teaching. Throughout college, Tristin was active in her school's dance program and coached several teams in the Denver area. She has danced at Denver Fashion Week and been a judge at CU Boulder's dance auditions. Tristin has a Bachelors degree in Psychology & Dance from MSU Denver. She is excited to grow the studio's competition program and knows that your child's love for dance will grow at Winddancer Studios!

Katie (Ballet/Tap, Poms, Office Manager)

Katie is originally from Michigan. She started dancing at the age of 5. In high school she was competitive in dance, baton, and poms. She also studied piano and percussion, and was part of the drum line. At the age of 15, she auditioned for her first dance show at Lansing Community College. That’s when she fell in love with the stage. She spent the next 4 years performing in every dance show that the college put on. Winning herself a scholarship to that college, she studied modern, ballet, jazz and tap. She won parts such as a soloist, duets & trios, and a student choreographer. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Dance Career.

After graduating, she moved to Orlando, Florida and danced for the American Gladiator’s Dinner Theatre as well as the character dance shows at Universal Studios Florida. She then toured with Sesame Street Live. Returning to

Michigan she danced for the modern dance company, Happendance, and was head coach for the Okemos High School dance team.

After moving to Colorado, she started taking classes here and landed a spot as a dancer on The Belles Performance Team, which lead her to a place with Rocky Mountain Rollergirls Pep Squad for 5 years. She took time off to have her daughter Luxe, but continued to tap dance through it all. She continues to study Tap by taking local adult classes, workshops, & festivals. She also choreographs for The Venue Theatre in Conifer.

During college, Courtney continued performing with the dance department at Colorado State University. Despite her love of performing, Courtney’s true passion is teaching. She has taught at studios in New York, Nevada, and Colorado. When not at the studio, Courtney works as a registered dietitian at a local children’s hospital. Courtney is excited to have found a home at Winddancer Studios and can’t wait to watch her students discover their passions!
